Universal Orlando has announced a lineup of limited-time, movie-inspired experiences launching this summer, including character meet-and-greets, themed photo ops, interactive activations, along with new menu offerings and exclusive merchandise.
Among the highlights is a new exhibit at Universal Studios Florida honoring iconic films from Steven Spielberg. The “Spielberg Summer Blockbusters” experience will showcase props and behind-the-scenes stories, including the upcoming release Disclosure Day, which is set to hit theaters on June 12.
The park will also lean into one of its most iconic properties with experiences inspired by Jaws. Guests can explore themed photo opportunities recreating elements and settings from the film, enjoy specialty food and drinks, and shop an exclusive line of merchandise tied to the classic thriller.
Another new addition highlights Illumination’s upcoming animated film, Minions & Monsters. The experience will introduce two new Minions—Henry and James—through interactive photo opportunities, along with themed food offerings at Minion Cafe, including Irene’s Creamsicle Cheesecake Fold Over and Monster Marshmallow Lemonade. Guests can also purchase limited-edition collectibles and a shoulder pal of Goomi, one of the new characters featured in the film.
At CityWalk, a summer movie series at the Universal Cinemark will bring back screenings of favorite films, including Back to the Future, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and Jaws on select dates between June 20 and August 26.
Returning seasonal entertainment offerings will also play a role in the summer lineup. The Universal Mega Movie Parade will once again bring together properties like E.T., Back to the Future, Jaws, Ghostbusters, and Jurassic World with elaborate floats and performers. Nighttime shows include CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular, a lagoon production at Universal Studios Florida set to film scores, and Hogwarts Always, a projection show returning May 30 to Islands of Adventure.
CityWalk will also host additional summer entertainment, including live music performances every Saturday night from June 20 through August 15, themed nightlife events like Re(d)tro Nights at the Red Coconut Club, and watch parties for major international soccer matches at NBC Sports Grill & Brew.
Universal Orlando will also mark Independence Day on July 4 with a resort-wide celebration featuring live entertainment, character appearances, and fireworks.
