Netflix has launched a redesigned mobile app, introducing a revamped layout and a new discovery experience aimed at changing how users find and interact with content on phones.
Netflix says the update “puts what you care about front and center, with streamlined navigation and a visual, vertical discovery experience that feels right at home on your phone.” The refreshed interface reorganizes parts of the home screen, bringing sections like “Podcasts” and “New & Hot” higher up in the navigation. The bottom menu has also been adjusted as part of the redesign.

The most notable update is a new feature called Clips, a vertical video feed designed to resemble TikTok and Meta’s Reels. It sits within the bottom navigation menu and includes a dedicated section on the home page. Clips will show users short video clips from series, films, and specials that are tailored to their viewing preferences. From the feed, users can also add movies and shows straight to their list and share recommendations through text or social media.
Netflix is positioning Clips as a central part of a broader effort to reshape mobile discovery and make content exploration more immediate and visual. The streamer plans to expand Clips in the future, eventually incorporating podcasts, live programming, and curated collections organized by genres.

“Mobile is an important part of how Netflix members stay connected to the entertainment they love,” said Elizabeth Stone, Netflix’s Chief Product and Technology Officer. “With our enhanced navigation and Clips, our new vertical video feed, we’re building on past learnings to deliver an experience designed for the way members want to enjoy Netflix on their phones: for the moments in between, to discover a new title, or a quick laugh. Our vision is to make our mobile experience as entertaining as what you watch, delivering increasingly personalized, immersive experiences for any mood or moment. This is just the beginning.”
The redesigned mobile app is now available in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and South Africa. A global release is planned over the coming months.
