Universal Parks & Resorts has announced that it plans to open an all-new year-round horror experience, possibly much like its popular Halloween Horror Nights event, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The new horror experience will bring Universal’s collection of classic horror films and today’s most terrifying tales to life, according to a news release. It will be the anchor tenant in a 20-acre expansion of AREA15, an entertainment and event venue near Las Vegas’ iconic Strip. Universal noted that the space will feature a continuously updated experience, seasonal events, and merchandise.
This news comes the same day Universal revealed its new concept park for Texas, making it evident that the company is hoping to expand its reach in different ways.
“At Universal, we bring our distinct brand of storytelling to life by creating the most innovative, immersive, and exciting destinations and experiences for our fans around the world,” said Mark Woodbury, chairman and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts. “Broadening our reach to deliver unique concepts for new audiences in new markets is incredibly exciting.”
Universal did not announce an opening date or specific details about the experience. Stay tuned to attractioninsight.com for updates.
