After multiple delays, Blue Man Group has announced a new opening date for its Orlando location. According to a news release, live performances will debut on May 1, 2026, at the brand-new Blue Man Theater at ICON Park.

This marks the return of Blue Man Group to Orlando after performing at Universal Orlando in the former Nickelodeon Studios building from 2007 until shows effectively paused in 2020 due to the pandemic, with the closure officially confirmed in 2021.

The announcement comes after a series of delays. The show’s revival at ICON Park was first announced in June 2024, with plans to open later that year. However, construction and permitting setbacks pushed the opening back multiple times. Eventually, April 2025 became a new target date, and in October 2025, ICON Park President and CEO Chris Jaskiewicz told Orlando Business Journal that the venue was expected to be completed in 2026.

The new theater will feature a state-of-the-art experience, featuring advanced audio, lighting, and video technology designed specifically for Blue Man Group’s signature multi-sensory performances.

Tickets for the Orlando location go on sale Friday, January 16.
