The city of Winter Garden, Florida, located just a few miles north of Walt Disney World, has earned recognition from Hallmark Channel as an Official Hallmark Christmas Town. The Central Florida city is among just 25 communities across the country to receive the designation in 2026.
The designation is part of Hallmark’s Merriest Christmas Towns Contest, which highlights communities that embrace the holiday season through their traditions, decorations, and seasonal celebrations. Although Winter Garden was not chosen as this year’s overall “Merriest” Christmas Town—that title went to Carlinville, Illinois—the city still receives recognition as an Official Hallmark Christmas Town.

During the holiday season, historic downtown Winter Garden features decorated storefronts, festive lights, and illuminated walkways. A 34-foot Christmas tree serves as a centerpiece of the celebrations, while City Hall becomes the backdrop for an animated projection light show.
As part of the recognition, Winter Garden can display the Official Hallmark Christmas Town seal for two years. The city is also included in the Official Guide to Hallmark’s Merriest Christmas Towns 2026 on Hallmark’s website.
Visitors will have another way to mark the occasion this holiday season with a dedicated photo spot at Centennial Plaza in historic downtown Winter Garden. The setup will feature a replica of the official Hallmark Christmas Town seal.
