Universal Orlando has revealed all-new details about its upcoming DreamWorks Land, a dynamic new addition to the Universal Studios Florida theme park announced in July 2023. This area will bring guests face-to-face with their favorite DreamWorks franchises, including Shrek, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda, through various family-friendly attractions and experiences.
Shrek
Adventure abounds in layers upon layers of excitement at Shrek’s haven, offering “ogre-the-top” journeys at every corner.
Shrek’s Swamp Meet: Guests can engage with Shrek, Princess Fiona, and the witty Donkey just outside of Shrek’s cozy abode.
Playground for Budding Ogres: The sprawling play zone, designed specifically for little ogres, encompasses four slides, areas for water play, and an interactive playground. Here, kids have the chance to climb, jump, and make a splash, even exploring the depths of Shrek’s outside.
Mama Luna Feline Fiesta: Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish comes alive in an engaging attraction at Mama Luna’s abode for retired felines. Guests get to play with Mama Luna’s cats on interactive displays activated by buttons, bells, maracas, and levers. Keep your eyes open for a surprise visit from Puss in Boots himself.
King Harold’s Swamp Symphony: Guests can orchestrate their own melodious masterpiece by initiating a medley of frog croaks that change pitch with each stomp on a collection of responsive lily pads.
Swamp Delicacies: Ogre-sized appetites can indulge in Shrek-themed treats such as Shrekzel, the Far Far A Waffle, Frozen Ogre, and more.
Trolls
At the heart of Trolls Village sits a fountain adorned with Trolls characters Poppy and Branch, offering a vibrant oasis of joy where one can unwind and embrace their blissful sanctuary.
Trolls Trollercoaster: Board the iconic Caterbus and evade evil spiders while zooming on a family-friendly coaster.
Poppy’s Playground: Beneath an enormous mushroom towering at 20 feet, discover the whimsical enclave of Poppy’s Playground, where the little ones can enjoy a wealth of engaging activities from spirited bounces to adventurous climbs.
Trolls Treats: Visit Poppy’s transformed boombox from Trolls Band Together, now a whimsical snack stand. Choose from Trolls-themed ice cream delights, such as pink lemonade-flavored Poppy-licious Pink and huckleberry-flavored BroZone Berry.
High Five Hideaway: Cloud Guy hosts an all-new retail location, showcasing an array of the latest themed merchandise, including apparel, plush, and accessories from Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, Gabby’s Dollhouse, and more.
Kung Fu Panda
Visitors will find themselves immersed in the high-energy escapades of Po, the endearing panda from the Kung Fu Panda films.
Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp: This brand-new interactive venue brings to life the spirited Panda Village from the beloved Kung Fu Panda movies. Guests can engage in both dry and wet activities, aiding the pandas in their laundry duties with the use of oversized water blasters, dump buckets, enormous fans, and more. Adventures are amplified with the inclusion of fun features such as an interactive gong, mischievous baby pandas, and oversized merry-go-round noodle bowls from Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop.
Po Live!: This digital, interactive experience offers guests a chance to engage with the legendary Dragon Warrior as he demonstrates his Kung Fu prowess, whips up a scrumptious stir fry, and juggles the antics of his little cousin, Ling Ling—all at once.
Additional Experiences with DreamWorks Icons
In addition to the main attractions, DreamWorks Land will feature additional opportunities for guests to meet and interact with adored DreamWorks characters through live entertainment.
DreamWorks Imagination Celebration: Bringing animated DreamWorks tales right before guests’ eyes, the DreamWorks Imagination Celebration offers a multisensory experience that fuses hit tunes, dynamic dance routines, advanced technology, and more to create an imaginative bash that will whisk guests away into the realms of their favorite characters, all happening within the new DreamWorks Theater.
DreamWorks Character Zone: The DreamWorks Character Zone offers guests the opportunity to meet and interact with icons like Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse, among others.
DreamWorks Land is set to open at Universal Orlando this summer. This family-friendly land takes the space of much of Woody Woodpecker’s Kid Zone, featuring new additions as well as re-themed attractions.
