Universal Orlando Park-to-Park Touring Plan
Touring plans make it easy for you to get the most out of your trip by outlining the order you should visit rides and attractions, allowing you to enjoy the top experiences in the park.
This touring plan was created for those visiting both the Universal Studios Florida park and Islands of Adventure park within the same day; however, those visiting the parks for a longer period may still take advantage of this plan. This touring plan assumes that you are visiting from the opening time and staying until the closing time. Although this plan is specifically designed for those not staying on-site and for those without a Universal Express pass, which allows you to skip the regular lines at participating attractions, it may still be used by such visitors.
Prior to visiting Universal Orlando, we recommend that you download the official Universal Orlando Resort app on the App Store or the Google Play Store. The app provides wait times, showtimes, a resort-wide map, and more.
STARTING OFF
For the best experience, you should start your day at Islands of Adventure and then head to Universal Studios Florida via the Hogwarts Express. This will maximize your chances of experiencing the top attractions at both parks. It’ll also allow you to end your day with Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration (if a show is scheduled during your visit), a nighttime spectacular that illuminates Universal Studios Florida with fireworks and celebrates the memories you can experience at the resort with music, water, lights, projection mapping, and other effects.
We recommend getting to the park turnstiles at least 30 minutes prior to park opening, especially on projected busy days. You can view the predicted crowd level for the day of your visit by using our FREE Universal Orlando crowd calendar. When you have entered the park, you can grab a guide map to help locate the resort’s rides and attractions and to view showtimes as well as other details. If you download the official Universal Orlando Resort app, this information and more can be accessed on it.

Eat Lunch
If you completed the attractions listed above and it's about 2 PM or shortly after, you should fuel up before continuing this touring plan. If it's not quite that time, but your hunger is getting the best of you, take a quick meal break. Otherwise, continue forward, and take a meal break when it does reach that time. Then, continue where you left off. We've highlighted some dining locations within a reasonable distance that will serve you at a fast rate, but if you don't want to take too much time out of the day, you can always pack snacks with you or purchase some at the many concession stands in the park.
Cafe 4
This quick service restaurant is located in Marvel Super Hero Island. Meals available here include a variety of different pizzas, plates of pasta, sandwiches, and desserts.
Comic Strip Cafe
Another dining location you can visit is Comic Strip Cafe. This quick service restaurant is located in Toon Lagoon. The menu features burgers, hot dogs, pizza, pasta, Chinese cuisine, fish, chicken, and more.

Three Broomsticks
Three Broomsticks is located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Hogsmeade. The level of detail in this restaurant is amazing, which makes it a top spot. Although it is a quick service dining location, the quality of the food is good. It should be noted that the menu for main courses is small, only offering fish and chips, beef pasties, spare ribs, turkey legs, shepherd's pie, rotisserie chicken, and chicken and ribs.
Vegetarians and Vegans
If you're a vegetarian or vegan, you can find quite a few meals in the park. Click/tap here to view our Universal Orlando vegetarian and vegan guide. In this guide, we highlighted the different dining locations offering meals available to you as well as which options will satisfy your diet.

If at a reasonable wait time, you can hop aboard the Hogwarts Express at Islands of Adventure's Hogsmeade Station to travel to Universal Studios Florida. We suggest removing any experiences that aren't a top priority for you if you're running low on time.

Unlisted Attractions
There are several attractions in both parks that have not been listed in this touring plan. This is either because they are play areas or take too much time out of the day. However, if you have available time in your day, are visiting the parks for more than one day, or are traveling with children, you should consider experiencing any unlisted attractions. To view all attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, click/tap here.

TIP: If you’re only visiting the parks for a single day, we recommend eating breakfast prior to arriving at the parks in order to experience more attractions. It’s important to remember, however, that you shouldn’t rush your way to every attraction. Take time to enjoy the different areas of the park, especially The Wizarding World of Harry Potter areas in both parks. Cherish your memories by taking photographs with characters and at the various themed areas.
NOTE: It is not guaranteed that you’ll experience all of the resort’s rides and attractions by following this touring plan. We recommend skipping any ride or attraction that you may not be interested in.
ON-SITE HOTEL GUESTS: We recommend taking advantage of early park admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Rather than visiting Skull Island: Reign of Kong first, you should visit Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey as well as Flight of the Hippogriff. Afterward, you can experience Skull Island: Reign of Kong and begin to follow the order of this touring plan.
UNIVERSAL EXPRESS VISITORS: Although you have the ability to skip the regular lines at the attractions, greatly reducing your wait times, following this touring plan will still allow you to visit the top attractions in an efficient way and will prevent you from making unnecessary detours.
GUESTS VISITING MULTIPLE DAYS: If you’re visiting the resort for more than one (1) day, we generally don’t recommend visiting more than one (1) park a day. We suggest that you should only visit just one (1) park per day to fully enjoy the experiences the different parks have to offer. If you decide to follow this recommendation, you can click/tap here to use our Universal Studios Florida touring plan and click/tap here to view our Islands of Adventure touring plan. If you still wish to visit both parks in a single day, we recommend sticking to this touring plan for the first day to ensure that you visit the top attractions. The next time you visit the parks, you can choose to revisit the attractions you enjoyed most or experience the attractions that you previously skipped.
MOBILE ORDERING: If you’re dining at a quick service restaurant, you have the option to use Universal’s mobile ordering service at select locations via the Universal Orlando app. This will allow you to easily select your meal and quickly pick up your food.
