Prepare for the festive season as Universal Orlando has revealed that its holiday celebration will run daily from Friday, November 17 until Sunday, December 31. Witness the annual transformation of the resort into a magical wonderland, where the enchanting world of Harry Potter intertwines seamlessly with the ambiance of Christmas, the streets come alive with a special holiday parade, and more.
Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Step into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure and experience as the streets of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade come alive with festive decorations, lights, and seasonal entertainment. At Islands of Adventure’s Wizarding World, Hogwarts Castle is transformed with an evening projection show—“The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle”—highlighting Christmas moments inspired by the characters and stories of the Harry Potter films.
Grinchmas
At Islands of Adventure, Grinchmas comes alive with the heartwarming tale of Dr. Seuss’s beloved character the Grinch. Join in the joyful spirit as you watch the retelling of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” in a live stage show the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.”
In addition, Seuss Landing will be decked out with oversized candy canes, twisty Christmas trees, tinsel ornaments, and other delightful decorations. You’ll also have the chance to meet the Whos from Who-ville and the mean, green one himself, the Grinch.
Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s
At Universal Studios Florida, cherished characters from Illumination’s Despicable Me and DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and Madagascar, as well as towering balloons, holiday floats, and performers fill the streets in Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. The grand culmination includes a special visit from Santa Claus and the illumination of the park’s 80-foot Christmas tree.

The Grinch Character Breakfast
Start your day with a breakfast featuring appearances by the Grinch and other beloved characters from Dr. Seuss at “The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast.”

Universal CityWalk and On-Site Hotels
You can continue the festivities at Universal CityWalk with seasonal food and beverages and special entertainment. Additionally, Universal Orlando’s on-site hotels offer a continuation of the festive spirit with holiday decorations that complement the unique theme of each hotel. Plus, holiday feasts and activities will be available at all hotels. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s special menus will be available, along with menorah lighting ceremonies and other holiday celebrations. Some hotels even offer additional holiday entertainment, such as Christmas tree lightings and carolers.
