Walt Disney World has announced the reopening of its Blizzard Beach water park on November 6, 2023, just in time for the holiday season. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, however, will temporarily close on November 5, 2023. The two water parks have been alternating schedules since Blizzard Beach’s post-pandemic reopening in March 2021.

With the reopening of Blizzard Beach, visitors will have the opportunity to indulge in limited-time food and beverage options for the holidays; these offerings include Peppermint Shakes and the opportunity to engage in cookie decorating. Guests will also have the chance to meet Santa Claus himself. Furthermore, Arctic Expeditions is introducing a selection of specialty bites to its menu featuring S’mores Churros and Banana Split Churros.

Walt Disney World has yet to release a schedule for their upcoming water park operations; however, Typhoon Lagoon welcomed guests in the middle of March this year.
