Universal Orlando has announced that its long-running Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show will temporarily close this month.

The announcement was shared via Universal Orlando’s official Annual Passholder social media channels, with Story posts appearing on both Facebook and Instagram. It confirms the attraction will temporarily close starting May 12, 2026, with a reimagined version planned to open later this year.

As part of the closure, Annual Passholders will be able to take advantage of reserved seating from May 4 through May 10, offering one last opportunity to experience the current version of the show before it goes offline.

Universal has not shared details on what the updated version will include, nor has it provided a specific reopening date or even a general timeframe beyond “later this year.”
