A 70-year-old woman died after riding a Universal Orlando attraction in November 2025, according to a newly released state report.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services released its quarterly report on Thursday, January 15, 2026, covering incidents at theme parks from October through December 2025.
The report states that the woman became unresponsive while riding the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster on November 25, 2025. She was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The report did not disclose the woman’s identity or the cause of death.
Revenge of the Mummy opened at Universal Orlando’s Universal Studios Florida park in 2004. The indoor, high-speed roller coaster plunges riders into darkness, where they encounter fireballs, scarab beetles, and an army of warrior mummies while fleeing the evil Mummy Imhotep.
Unlike the September 2025 incident involving 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, who became unresponsive after riding Stardust Racers at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe and was later pronounced dead at a hospital, Revenge of the Mummy was not forced to close for an investigation following the November incident. Authorities noted that Zavala’s case involved additional injuries, which ultimately prompted an investigation into the ride.
