Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Adventure, will not be ready to sail out of Singapore as initially planned this December. The maiden voyage, originally scheduled for December 15, 2025, has been postponed to March 10, 2026.
In a letter sent to booked guests, Disney stated that the ship represents “a bold new chapter for Disney Cruise Line,” as they are transforming a “partially built vessel into a fully reimagined Disney experience at sea.” The company cited unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process as the reason for the postponement.
Disney Cruise Line has outlined options for guests affected by this delay:
- Guests who booked on the maiden voyage: Guests who had booked the inaugural sailing will automatically be rebooked on the new maiden voyage on March 10, 2026, and will receive a 50% refund. Alternatively, guests who are unable to sail on the new date can request a full refund and a 50% discount on a future cruise by September 21, 2025. The future cruise credit must be applied by March 31, 2026 and is only applicable for cruises departing on or before March 31, 2027.
- Guests on other impacted sailings: Guests who had booked on any other impacted sailings—from December 15, 2025 to March 12, 2026—will be offered a full refund. These guests will also have the opportunity to receive a 50% discount for a future sailing of their choice. The future cruise credit must be applied by March 31, 2026 and is only applicable for cruises departing on or before March 31, 2027.

The Disney Adventure will hold the title of Disney Cruise Line’s largest ship. It was originally constructed as the Global Dream for the now-defunct cruise line Genting Hong Kong before Disney acquired the vessel.
