Magic Kingdom has once again claimed the title of the world’s most visited theme park, with all four Walt Disney World parks placed among the 20 most visited globally. Universal Orlando Resort also saw a significant change in its attendance figures following Epic Universe’s opening last year. The numbers were published in the Themed Entertainment Association’s (TEA) newly released 2025 Global Experience Index, which provides annual attendance estimates for theme parks and attractions around the world.

Walt Disney World’s four theme parks experienced a slight dip in attendance, collectively attracting approximately 49 million visits. Universal Orlando, meanwhile, expanded its overall attendance with the addition of its newest theme park, even as its two established theme parks saw declines.

Magic Kingdom welcomed an estimated 17.8 million guests in 2025, narrowly maintaining its lead over Disneyland Park in California, which recorded 17.4 million visitors. Here are the estimated 2025 attendance figures for each Walt Disney World theme park:

  • Magic Kingdom: 17.8 million, ranking first worldwide
  • EPCOT: 12.1 million, ranking eighth worldwide
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 10.31 million, ranking tenth worldwide
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8.78 million, ranking 15th worldwide

All four Walt Disney World parks recorded an estimated 0.2% decline from 2024. Despite the slight decrease, Disney maintained its position as the world’s leading theme park operator, with approximately 146.8 million visits across its global attractions, an increase of 1.1%.

Universal Orlando’s attendance figures tell a different story. The opening of Epic Universe on May 22, 2025, introduced a third theme park to the resort and contributed to a substantial increase in its combined attendance.

Epic Universe attracted an estimated 4 million visitors during its partial first year of operation, placing it 13th among North America’s most visited theme parks. Meanwhile, Universal Studios Florida saw attendance decline by 2.1% compared with 2024, while Islands of Adventure experienced a 2.6% drop.

The addition of Epic Universe also helped Universal Destinations & Experiences move into third place among the world’s largest theme park operators.
