The 6th season of CBS’s Young Sheldon is coming to a close, and the final episode for the season is actually two episodes, totaling nearly an hour-long combined.
The season finale, which airs on Thursday, May 18th at 8 pm ET on CBS, will follow Sheldon on his trip to Germany.
Young Sheldon is essentially the origin story of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory; it follows the life of young Sheldon and his family, showing his quirky childhood growing up in East Texas as a gifted yet naive boy.
The sitcom, starring Iain Armitage as young Sheldon, first aired in September 2017, garnering over 16 million viewers for its first season. Though viewership for the series doesn’t reach season 1’s height, the show is still a top hit. Earlier this year, the comedy series was the top-rated prime-time program, averaging 7.5 million viewers.
Though the 6th season of Young Sheldon will soon end, this won’t be the show’s last season as CBS renewed the show for a 7th season.
