Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood have revealed new brief details about their upcoming developments.

Fast & Furious: Supercharged

Universal Orlando Resort’s Fast & Furious: Supercharged attraction, which replaced the Beetlejuice show and Disaster ride, is set to open in the spring of 2018; it was originally set to debut this year.

The ride will use a Virtual Line system like the Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon attraction, allowing guests to select a time in advance so that they can virtually wait in line and experience the park’s other experiences. When the time has arrived, guests can return to the attraction with little to no wait.

Universal describes this ride as an “action-packed ride [that] will take guests on a high-octane journey that fuses an original storyline, incredible ride technology, popular characters, exhilarating environments, nonstop action and, of course, high-speed cars.”

Universal’s Aventura Hotel

Universal’s all-new Aventura Hotel, which is scheduled to welcome guests on August 1, 2018, will be Universal Orlando’s most technologically advanced hotel.

The contemporary themed property will feature a virtual reality game room, tablets in each room to control features in the room including the temperature and television, a dive-in movie experience with an underwater speaker system in the hotel’s pool, and additional high-tech amenities.

The hotel is accepting reservations. Rates start at $97 based on a 7-night stay.

Kung Fu Panda attraction

Universal Studios Hollywood announced a brand new Kung Fu Panda attraction for their theme park that will allow guests to be immersed in an adventure with Master Pro and the Furious Five. Guests will exercise their wit and unlock the hero within through the power of kung fu.

The Kung Fu Panda attraction is set to open at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2018. Universal has not revealed additional details.

Wizarding World Christmas

This holiday season, Universal Studios Hollywood’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter will celebrate the holiday season with festive décor and new holiday-themed food, drinks, and entertainment inspired by the films, including a projection show that illuminates Hogwarts castle in sparkling holiday spirit.
