On Saturday night at Universal Studios Hollywood, 15 people sustained injuries due to a tram collision during the Studio Tour. The incident occurred around 9 PM PT when one of the tram cars collided with a rail, authorities reported.
The tram operator reported a mechanical failure as the cause of the collision, which resulted in multiple passengers being ejected from the tram. The victims of the accident were taken to nearby medical facilities for care.
Reports indicate that one individual was critically injured, while the remaining individuals incurred minor injuries.
The California Highway Patrol has taken the lead on the investigation.
