Welcome to our latest photo update on the ongoing demolition of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Orlando. It was a cloudy and rainy day today, October 4, 2025, as we ventured into Universal to capture the latest progress on this major development. We’ve also included aerial photos from Bioreconstruct in this update to show better angles of the demolition. Since the roller coaster’s permanent closure on August 18, 2025, it has been steadily dismantled, with only a few remnants of the ride left standing. As crews continue to make quick work of the demolition, they’re also working on its replacement ride.
Non-Inverted Loop Fully Dismantled
Since our last update on September 24, 2025, the non-inverted loop has been completely removed.

Ride Station Demolition Nearly Complete
The demolition of the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit ride station is nearly complete. In our September 24, 2025 photo update, the maintenance bay was still partially standing, and the control room was intact. Since then, both of these structures have been demolished, leaving only the roof, columns, and elevator shaft in place.

This progress is now clearly visible from the front of the station—where guests once entered the queue—marking a significant change from before, when the front area appeared untouched.

With much of the station gone, the Hogwarts Express is now visible from CityWalk as it travels backstage between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

Final Traces of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
When it comes to track pieces, the only sections still standing are the vertical lift and the segment right next to the former ride station.

Construction on Replacement Ride
Universal Orlando has yet to announce what will replace Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, but construction crews are actively working on the new project.
Here’s a look at the site located between the entrance to Universal Studios Florida and the Hard Rock Cafe in CityWalk. Concrete foundations have been set for the new ride, and rebar can be seen for the support footers of the attraction.

Work is also actively underway for the upcoming ride at the cleared space near Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. New equipment has recently arrived at the site, and concrete forms are beginning to take shape.
