Avatar: The Last Airbender is once again stepping into the cultural forefront, not as a result of the live-action adaptation by Netflix but due to the forthcoming release of a new animated motion picture. Paramount announced Thursday at CinemaCon that the film will be named Aang: The Last Airbender. Scheduled for release in 2026, this film extends the legacy of a narrative universe that has garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated following across the globe.

Paramount has yet to reveal specifics about the movie’s plot; however, it is known that the film will feature Aang in his adult years.

Aang: The Last Airbender is set hit theaters on January 20, 2026. Two additional films based on the intellectual property were previously confirmed.
