Disney has announced plans for a second live-action Lilo & Stitch film. The announcement coincided with Stitch Day, or 626 Day, which celebrates the character known as Experiment 626, in alignment with the date of June 26.
Disney unveiled the sequel via social media, featuring a clip of Stitch speeding around the Disney lot in a bright pink convertible, shouting, “Get ready! Here we go!”
The first live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch, released on May 23, 2025, has garnered significant box office success, grossing over $914 million worldwide, according to the Los Angeles Times. It is currently on track to become the first movie of the year to exceed $1 billion at the global box office.
Disney has not released information regarding the creative team, storyline, or release schedule for the sequel.
