Vacation is a precious thing—it’s a thing that you’ll cherish forever. While taking photographs of iconic buildings and structures are a great way to capture and remember your vacation moments, there are better ways to maximize your vacation. One way—the best way—to maximize your Universal Orlando vacation is to take advantage of Universal’s fine character meet and greets. At these meet and greets, you can interact with characters and have the ultimate photo taken.

Doc Brown

Doc Brown is from the famous Back to the Future films. Doc Brown can be spotted riding through the Hollywood area of the park or in front of the DeLoreon time machine next to Springfield U.S.A. He is one of Universal’s most beloved characters because of his role in the Back to the Future franchise and for his enthusiastic behavior. Doc Brown interacts with guests unlike any other character at the park and is always welcome to take a photo with you.

The Conductor and Shrunken Head

The Conductor and Shrunken Head are a part of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Florida; the two can be found at the Knight Bus in the London area of the park. The Conductor is very social; he greets you and usually asks a little bit about your day while the Shrunken Head likes to throw in some laughable jokes. The meet and greet provides a wonderful experience in a unique environment that puts a smile on most faces.

Minions

The Minions are perhaps Universal’s most well-known characters in both the film-making industry and the theme park industry. The characters can be met at the exit of the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction at Universal Studios Florida though you can easily get to them by entering the Silly Stuff store and heading to the very back of the store. The Minions are not always out but if they are, you can find them boogieing down in the dance room and taking photos with guests.

Marvel Superheroes and Villains

The Marvel superheroes and villains are protecting — and destroying — the streets of Marvel Super Hero Island at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. The heroes can sometimes be seen making their grand entrance on their motorbikes at the main street where they then hop off and situate in their meet and greet locations. Characters like Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Cyclops are available for guests to talk with, take a photo with, and receive signatures. The Marvel villains often roam the streets terrorizing guests in a harmless yet villainous manner.

Raptor Encounter

Get up close and personal with a nearly 9-foot-tall velociraptor. Whatever you do, don’t run away and don’t feed the raptors. We encourage you to take selfies as this could be your last one. Throughout the day, InGen allows guests to come face-to-face with a wild velociraptor. Either the raptor will show some kindness towards you or the raptor may just take a bite at you. Raptor Encounter is a new meet and greet located at Islands of Adventure’s Jurassic Park area. The raptor makes for a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable experience that will spice up your day. Take your camera out and record a video or take a photo with the raptor. Better yet, ask one of Universal Orlando’s team members to do it for you. The Raptor Encounter meet and greet makes for a great photo to share with the world and to add to your photo album.

Other Meet and Greets

Universal Orlando offers many other meet and greets throughout their theme parks. We encourage you to explore the parks thoroughly and have your photo taken with any character you come across. In the Hollywood area of Universal Studios Florida, you can meet characters not listed above such as Marilyn Monroe, Betty Boop, Lucille Ball, the gang from Scooby Doo, and more. You can also come across Spongebob Squarepants in the KidZone and Homer Simpson and his family in the Springfield area. At Universal’s Islands of Adventure, The Cat In The Hat, the Grinch, Popeye, and other characters are also available to meet.

Meet and Greet Times

Not all characters have a designated appearance time but those that do are listed on the park map.
