Disneyland Resort will introduce enhanced health and safety measures to promote cleanliness, social distancing, and reduced contact, including limited capacity at theme parks, hotels, restaurants, and other locations. Certain attractions, services, amenities, and experiences may be modified, have limited availability, or remain closed. Disney stated that select attractions and experiences that attract large gatherings, such as parades and nighttime shows, will not be available upon reopening. Character meet-and-greets will also not be available; however, characters will entertain guests in new ways.

Dr. Pamela Hymel, Disney Parks Chief Medical Officer, said that Disney is exploring ways to utilize technology to help aid with these new measures. For example, virtual queues may be implemented at the resort to promote social distancing. Hymel also commented that the resort will follow guidance from the government and the medical community regarding enhanced screening procedures and prevention measures, including those related to personal protective equipment, such as face coverings. Moreover, Hymel added that hand sanitizing stations and hand washing stations have already been implemented throughout the property.
