Disneyland Resort has unveiled an array of new shops and restaurants that will soon be opened in the Downtown Disney District in California. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can look forward to:
Avengers Reserve: A Heroic Shopping Experience
Launching this winter, Avengers Reserve is an all-new shop that will spotlight beloved Marvel characters and stories through an extensive range of collectibles, apparel, accessories, toys, and comics.
D-Lander Shop: Trend-Forward Fashion
Also opening this winter, the D-Lander Shop aims to capture the attention of Disneyland fans. This boutique will celebrate trendy styles, offering an assortment of apparel, accessories, and jewelry.
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets: A Confectionery Shop
Marceline’s Confectionery is undergoing a transformation into Disney Wonderful World of Sweets. With an expanded footprint, this shop will offer churro toffee, caramel apples, sour balls, lollipops, packaged confections, and freshly made Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn. You can even watch these treats being crafted in the exhibition kitchen from the promenade. This confectionery is set to open this winter.
Kawaii Slime Cart: “Cute” Slime
Coming this fall, Kawaii Slime is coming to a cart at Downtown Disney District. “Kawaii,” which means “cute” in Japanese, will introduce playful slime concoctions and toys in a variety of textures, colors, scents, and glittery mix-ins.
New Restaurants from Michelin-Starred Chef Joe Isidori
Downtown Disney District is also set to welcome two new dining establishments from Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori:
- Steakhouse: This full-service restaurant will boast a menu featuring prime cuts of beef, chops, fresh seafood, sandwiches, and chopped salads. The restaurant will also feature expertly crafted cocktails.
- Barbecue Eatery: Adjacent to the steakhouse, this quick-service spot will offer traditional barbecue dishes like pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked wings, enhanced by unique spices and house-made sauces. An outdoor bar will serve a selection of craft beers and moonshine cocktails.
The Carnaby Tavern: A Nod to the Swinging ‘60s
A new Earl of Sandwich restaurant concept, The Carnaby Tavern, is being developed for Downtown Disney District. Inspired by the swinging ’60s “British Invasion” pop and rock bands, this establishment will feature a patio with an indoor/outdoor full-service bar. While the traditional Earl of Sandwich location on the east side of the district will close in 2025 to make way for Porto’s Bakery, a typical Earl of Sandwich restaurant will still occupy the first floor of The Carnaby Tavern’s building. Disney will reveal additional details about The Carnaby’s Tavern at a later date.
