Disney just increased the cost of several Disney+ and Hulu subscription options.
The biggest increases apply to customers who want either streaming service without advertisements. Disney+ Premium and Hulu Premium are both moving from $18.99 to $21.49 per month, representing an increase of $2.50, or roughly 13%. The price of the ad-free Disney+/Hulu Premium bundle is also increasing. The combined plan will cost $21.99 per month, compared with its previous $19.99 price.
Customers who opt for the plan with advertisements will see a smaller increase. Disney+ with ads and Hulu with ads are each rising from $11.99 to $12.49 per month. The ad-supported Disney+/Hulu bundle, however, remains $12.99 per month, just 50 cents above the monthly price of either service individually.
The updated prices are effective for new subscribers immediately, while existing subscribers will move to the higher rates when their next monthly billing cycle begins.
The latest price increase marks Disney’s fourth rate hike for the streaming services in the U.S. in four years.
