Universal Orlando published today the ticket options and annual pass details for their all-new Volcano Bay water theme park. The water theme park features 12 attractions in various themed areas. Volcano Bay will utilize a virtual line system to eliminate long lines as well as an Express system for an additional charge. Guests can experience the destination with an admission ticket or 3-park annual/seasonal pass.

Express Passes

Universal’s Volcano Bay will be offering Express passes for purchase to bypass the virtual line system. Unlike the virtual line system, those with an Express pass are not required to retrieve a return time; they simply proceed directly to the attraction (the Express pass is added to the TapuTapu wearable wristband, which is given to all guests).

Volcano Bay will provide two different Express passes—a standard Express pass and an Unlimited Express pass—that can be used at select attractions in the park. The standard Express pass ranges from $24.99-$49.99 depending on when you visit. The Unlimited Express pass ranges from $49.99-$79.99 depending on when you visit. It should be noted that prices are currently only available for the months of May and June.

The standard Express pass allows guests to head directly to a participating Express pass attraction, but they may only use the pass one time per attraction; the pass may not be reused at the same attractions. The Unlimited Express pass, however, allows repeated visits to participating attractions.

Universal Orlando offers 2-park annual and seasonal passes and now 3-park annual and seasonal passes. The 3-park passes allow admission into Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay.

Upgrading Your Current Pass

Current 2-park annual/seasonal passholders may upgrade to a 3-park pass. Currently, to do so, it is required that passholders upgrade their pass at the resort; this may be done at Islands of Adventure’s Group Sales window. A family member or friend may not upgrade another individual’s pass unless they are present. Universal Orlando will open a Passholder Upgrade Center on April 3rd; it will run through April 30th from 8 AM to 6 PM. Upgrading to a 3-park pass is not yet possible by phone.

Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park is scheduled to open on May 25th. To learn more about this all-new development, click here. Tickets for the water theme park may be purchased at UniversalOrlando.com or by clicking here.
