In a grand announcement via social media, Universal announced that the ever-popular science fiction/horror Netflix series Stranger Things will make its Halloween Horror Nights debut this fall. Guests at the event can expect to see popular locales from the series such as Hawkins Laboratory and Mirkwood and come face-to-face with a Demogorgon. The maze will not only be shared between Orlando and Hollywood, but it will also be featured at Halloween Horror Nights in Universal Studios Singapore.
This announcement has come with an overwhelmingly positive reception from fans of the show and the park alike. Many had speculated last year that Stranger Things would arrive at HHN sometime soon after Universal tweeted out a photo of the iconic globe upside-down right around the time of the season two premiere.
Stranger Things was a highly requested house among many HHN fans, and it was requested as a must-come intellectual property for the event in an article we published earlier this year. Now that one house is marked off that list, we’ll have to wait and see if It (the 2017 production) comes as well.
Halloween Horror Nights 28 in Orlando will feature 9 haunted houses based on iconic films and television series as well as originals in addition to 5 scare zones spread out inside the park. Orlando’s event runs on select nights from September 14 through November 3. For the latest on Halloween Horror Nights news and more around the universe, stay tuned to Attraction Insight.
