This adaptation will be a reworked 100-minute version of the Broadway hit, inspired by the beloved 1985 film from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. The musical follows the journey of teenager Marty McFly as he accidentally travels back to 1955 in the iconic time-traveling DeLorean, engineered by Dr. Emmett Brown.

The show has a book penned by Bob Gale, along with original music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard. Audiences can also look forward to classic songs from the film, including the “The Power of Love” and “Johnny B. Goode.”

Star of the Seas will be Royal Caribbean’s second Icon Class cruise ship. Its home port will be Port Canaveral with its maiden voyage scheduled for August 31, 2025.
