Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Is Coming to Life With a Real Permanent Location

The fictional pizzeria at the center of Five Nights at Freddy’s is set to become a real-world restaurant, as American Dream prepares to bring Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza to its New Jersey entertainment complex.

American Dream, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is developing the venue in partnership with ScottGames, the company behind the popular Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. The restaurant is being described as a “functional reimagining” of the pizzeria featured in the video games.

American Dream is billing the project as “the world’s first permanent immersive restaurant experience” based on Five Nights at Freddy’s.

The experience will combine dining with entertainment and interactive experiences. Plans include quick-service dining, arcade games, animatronic stage shows featuring Freddy Fazbear and the Fazbear Band, Foxy’s Pirate Cove, and multiplayer experiences inspired by the franchise’s survival-horror gameplay.

“The only way this experience succeeds is if it’s created by a team that knows Five Nights at Freddy’s inside and out,” said Atreyu Alcantar, Creative Manager, Licensing & Location-Based Entertainment at American Dream, and Creative Lead for the attraction. “The animatronic show has to be authentic. The food has to be high-quality. And above all else, we’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza — we’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. This experience will immerse longtime fans in the world they’ve imagined for years while welcoming an entirely new audience to discover it for the first time.”

The concept has been a longtime wish among Five Nights at Freddy’s fans. Since the video game franchise debuted in 2014, fans have imagined what it would be like to visit an actual Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

The franchise has since expanded well beyond its video game origins, including two feature films and a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood.

The new Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is scheduled to open at American Dream in 2027. An exact opening date and ticketing information have not yet been announced.
