During the D23 event in 2024, Disney first unveiled details of a new adventure featuring Din Djarin, the iconic Mandalorian from The Mandalorian, coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Today, Disney has shared additional insights about this experience.
Working alongside the team behind The Mandalorian, Disney Imagineers have captured scenes for the attraction directly on the set of the upcoming The Mandalorian and Grogu movie. Jon Favreau, the creator of The Mandalorian, shared insights about the experience, stating, “This isn’t going to retell what happens in the movie – it’s more like participating in something that’s happening just off-camera from what you see in the film.”
In addition to this new adventure, the BDX droids that were meandering around Disneyland will soon make their way to Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris. “And that’s in addition to the little droids appearing in The Mandalorian and Grogu film, too,” Disney revealed.
The all-new mission for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is set to launch on May 22, 2026.
