Delta Unveils Its Largest-Ever LAX Schedule With New Routes and More Flights

Delta Air Lines announced Friday that it will operate its largest schedule ever at Los Angeles International Airport by summer 2027. The expanded operation will include more than 200 daily departures from LAX when Delta and its partner airlines are combined, with new routes and additional flights on existing services expanding connectivity to nearly 70 destinations.

Among the biggest additions is a new daily nonstop route between Los Angeles and Philadelphia (PHL), with service beginning June 7, 2027, aboard an Airbus A321neo. On December 19, 2026, Delta will launch twice-daily nonstop flights between LAX and Monterey (MRY), restoring a market the airline previously served. The Monterey flights will be operated by Delta Connection using Embraer 175 aircraft. That same day, Delta will begin daily nonstop service between Salt Lake City and Monterey.

Delta is also expanding its schedule on seven existing routes from LAX, adding more daily flights to several destinations throughout 2027. Service to Raleigh-Durham (RDU) will increase to two daily flights beginning April 12, followed by an increase to five daily flights between LAX and Boston (BOS) starting May 6. San Diego (SAN) will see service rise to five daily flights beginning June 7. On July 11, Delta will increase service to Cincinnati (CVG) to two daily flights, Houston (IAH) to three daily flights, San Antonio (SAT) to three daily flights, and Seattle (SEA) to eight daily flights.

The expansion builds on a period of rapid growth for Delta at LAX. The airline currently operates 166 peak-day departures and serves 61 destinations from the airport. This year, Delta expanded its international network from the airport with new service to Hong Kong and Shanghai, while also announcing service to Vancouver and Manila.

LAX remains one of the most competitive airline markets in the United States. Delta, American Airlines, and United Airlines all maintain major operations at the airport.
