Walt Disney World has officially revealed that the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster will undergo an extended refurbishment, starting January 6, 2025. This classic roller coaster is known for its thrilling twists and turns set in a scenic Wild West landscape.
In a statement, Disney said that the ride will return in 2026 with “a little bit of new magic.” Specific details regarding the refurbishment or the exact reopening date have yet to be disclosed.
