Universal Orlando’s Stardust Racers roller coaster is facing a new lawsuit stemming from an incident in which a child allegedly lost consciousness while riding the attraction at Epic Universe.

According to court records, the lawsuit was filed on behalf of a child identified as “L.L.,” who visited Universal’s newest theme park in October 2025.

The lawsuit alleges that L.L. experienced a loss of consciousness while riding Stardust Racers because of the forces produced by the coaster. According to the complaint, the ride lacked adequate restraint or support to prevent the child’s head, neck, and upper body from moving, causing his head and face to strike hard surfaces inside the ride vehicle while he was unconscious. The child allegedly suffered blunt-force head trauma, along with orthopedic and spinal injuries, as a result of the incident.

L.L.’s parent has filed negligence claims against Universal, seeking damages related to the alleged injuries. Mack Rides, the manufacturer of Stardust Racers, is also listed as a defendant and is facing claims of strict products liability and negligence.
