Universal Orlando has implemented significant changes to its Stay and Scream protocols for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.
In previous years, guests visiting Universal Studios Florida during regular park hours and Halloween Horror Nights on the same day could stay in a designated area until the park closed for daytime guests, allowing them to get early access to select haunted houses.

This year, Universal Orlando is introducing a new approach. Guests who arrive at Universal Studios Florida starting at 3 PM and possess a ticket for Halloween Horror Nights on that day can obtain a wristband at one of several designated check-in locations listed below:
- Lombard’s Seafood Grille
- Illumination’s Minion Café
- Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast
Rather than being confined to one area, guests will have the freedom to roam the entire park; they can enjoy rides or shows, dine, and shop prior to the start of Halloween Horror Nights. Beginning at 4 PM, guests with a wristband will be allowed to enter select haunted house queues.
