Universal has officially announced the opening date for its newest family-focused destination, Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas. The park is scheduled to open its gates to the public on July 1, 2026, marking the debut of a new entertainment experience designed specifically for younger guests and families.
Tickets, annual passes, and hotel accommodations are now available for purchase ahead of the opening.
Ticket Options and Pricing
Guests will be able to choose from one-day or two-day admission options, with pricing that varies depending on the date selected.
A 1-Day General Admission ticket starts at $54.99 per person, plus tax, while a 2-Day General Admission ticket starts at $73.99 per person, plus tax. Guests under the age of two are admitted free of charge. Guests aged two and older are required to pay the standard admission rate, with no age-based discounts offered.
Annual Passes
Annual access will also be available through the Silver Annual Pass, which includes 12 months of general admission for $129.99 per person, plus tax. An upgraded option adds regular self-parking for $164.99 per person, plus tax. Both options include blockout dates and additional restrictions.
A number of dates throughout 2026 and 2027 are excluded from annual pass use, including select holiday periods, peak days, and park closures.
Universal has not shared information regarding the possible introduction of additional annual pass tiers.
Themed Lands Coming to the Park
When it opens, Universal Kids Resort will feature seven themed lands inspired by popular film and television franchises, including:
- DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
- Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
- Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
- Jurassic World Adventure Camp
- DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
- DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
- Isle of Curiosity
