An all-new Simpsons movie has been officially announced by Disney’s 20th Century Studios, with a theatrical release date set for July 23, 2027.
The announcement came via social media, where 20th Century shared a teaser poster. The image features the series’ iconic pink donut and includes the tagline: “Homer’s coming back for seconds.” No plot details for the upcoming have been disclosed at this time.
The new release date takes the place of a previously scheduled, untitled Marvel film on Disney’s calendar.
This marks the second feature-length film for The Simpsons, following the original movie released in 2007. The animated television series, created by Matt Groening, is one of the longest-running animated programs and sitcoms.
