A confrontation between a Jeep driver and a Disney bus at Walt Disney World ended with a 25-year-old man facing a felony charge after deputies said he pointed a handgun at the bus driver.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the incident after receiving a 911 call at around 9 p.m. on Monday, October 5. According to an arrest affidavit, the incident occurred on East Buena Vista Drive near Bonnet Creek Parkway.

Investigators said the driver of a white Jeep, identified as David Charlot, aimed a handgun at the Disney bus before leaving the area and heading to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. Deputies later located the Jeep near the resort’s lobby.

Charlot approached a deputy and said he was making a DoorDash delivery. He acknowledged that there was a handgun inside the Jeep but denied pointing it at anyone, according to the affidavit.

However, a witness provided investigators with a different version of events, telling deputies that the Jeep was stopped at a green traffic light while a Disney bus was waiting behind it. The bus driver reportedly honked and pulled closer to the Jeep. Charlot then got out of his vehicle and walked toward the bus before returning to the Jeep, where he allegedly retrieved a black semi-automatic handgun from inside and pointed it at the bus driver.

Investigators later reviewed footage from a camera aboard the Disney bus, which captured Charlot pointing a black handgun toward the bus driver before leaving the area.
