Repainting at Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World‘s Magic Kingdom is moving along quickly as crews continue updating the castle’s color scheme. Meanwhile, Haunted Mansion now features themed scrim designed to resemble the attraction’s facade, replacing the plain green covering that had previously been in place. Here’s a look at the latest progress.
Cinderella Castle Painting Progress
Crews have been busy repainting Cinderella Castle with a refreshed color palette inspired by its original, classic look. The updated scheme features shades of gray, cream, and blue with subtle gold accents, replacing the rose-gold design. Below is a look at concept art Disney previously shared of the updated colors.
Since our February 11, 2026, photo update, repainting at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom has advanced considerably. Much of the pink facade has now been replaced with gray, additional gold trim is being covered in light gray throughout the structure, and the roof tiles are being painted a different shade of blue. Here’s a look at the castle’s current appearance.
As part of the repainting work, the moat around Cinderella Castle was drained, as we highlighted in our February 11, 2026, photo update. Below is the moat’s current condition. Much of the sludge and lost items have been removed since our previous update.
Themed Scrim Installed at Haunted Mansion
The Haunted Mansion facade has been largely concealed by scrim and scaffolding, though the attraction remains open to guests. The plain green covering, however, has now been replaced with a themed scrim designed to mimic the ride’s exterior.
