Universal Orlando is one of my favorite vacation destinations in the state of Florida because of its ability to turn time into unforgettable memories. With two amazing theme parks—Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure—there’s plenty to explore with the entire family, and everything there is to explore is truly breathtaking. The experience as a whole is just phenomenal; it’s an experience like no other. Every ride, attraction, show, and themed land are highly immersive and geared toward all audiences, providing the ultimate family vacation that’ll be treasured forever. To help you get the ultimate vacation, I have created this guide highlighting the best ticket option for you to allow you to experience everything there is at this enormous, thrilling destination. I divided this guide into four sections—ticket options, pricing, and verdict—to better help you choose the right ticket option.
Ticket Options
Universal Orlando offers a wide variety of different admission tickets with discounted options available for Florida residents and regular priced options available for non-Florida residents. As of now, the resort offers a park-to-park ticket that gives access to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure in one day and single park admission that that gives access to only one park in a day. Florida residents may purchase these tickets for a maximum of three (3) days; non-Florida residents may purchase them for a maximum of five (5) days.
In case you were wondering, a park-to-park admission ticket is required to board the Hogwarts Express.

Verdict
Universal Orlando’s two world-class theme parks offer a wide variety of highly themed rides, attractions, and shows that put you beyond the screens and into the action. With over 15 amazing rides and attractions and about nine live shows in Universal Studios Florida alone, it is not guaranteed that you’ll experience everything the park has to offer in one day. Universal’s Islands of Adventure offers even more attractions—featuring 21 rides and attractions in total and about five live shows.
The best ticket option for you depends on what you’re willing to experience in the parks. If you wish to do everything there is, a 4-day single park admission ticket is recommended for you (Florida resident discounted tickets do not offer this option; Florida residents may purchase a non-Florida resident ticket if desired). Please note, this option will not allow you to experience the Hogwarts Express. Although the Hogwarts Express is indeed a fascinating attraction, it is not worth the additional price unless you’re a big Harry Potter fan. If you wish to experience only the top attractions in the park, a 2-day single park attraction may be best for you. You will not have the ability to do everything in the park, but you may have the ability to hit the top attractions, depending upon the crowd levels. A 3-day single park admission ticket is most recommended to those wishing to hit the top attractions in the parks and revisit any missed attraction in their most beloved theme park. We highly advise that you purchase your tickets online on the official Universal Orlando website for the best price guaranteed.
