With Universal Orlando’s holiday celebration beginning November 21, more Christmas decorations are appearing across the resort, including the on-site hotels. In addition, Universal is making progress on several other projects, such as a new food kiosk and refurbishments at an existing dining location. This photo update takes a look at all of these updates throughout CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and the newest Universal Orlando hotels.
Christmas Decorations
Christmas decorations first started appearing around Islands of Adventure and CityWalk in late October, and even more have been added since then. Now, festive touches can also be seen at Universal Studios Florida and the on-site hotels. Here’s a look at the holiday décor across the parks and Universal Orlando’s newest hotels—Stella Nova Resort, Terra Luna Resort, and Helios Grand Hotel.
Christmas decorations were added at the front of CityWalk.

Signage is promoting the upcoming Green & Red Coconut Club, a holiday overlay of the Red Coconut Club, featuring festive decorations, seasonal drinks, and more. The club already has a bit of decor outside as well.

Decorations are also up around select areas of Universal Studios Florida, though they’re not fully in place yet. Here’s a look at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.

The large Christmas tree has arrived in the New York section of Universal Studios Florida.

Additionally, the front section of the Universal Studios Store at the entrance of Universal Studios Florida has been updated with new Grinch-themed branding.

Islands of Adventure is now more fully decked out for the holidays, with festive touches in the Port of Entry, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, and even more added throughout Seuss Landing.

Here’s a closer look at some of the unique ornaments around CityWalk and the Port of Entry at Islands of Adventure, inspired by films, attractions, and logos, including (in order) E.T., Jaws, Jurassic Park, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters, Dragon Challenge/Dueling Dragons, Poseidon’s Fury, the Universal globe, the old Islands of Adventure logo, the former CityWalk logo, the NBC logo, and more.

This marks the first Christmas for Universal Stella Nova Resort. Christmas trees adorn the lobby.

Universal Terra Luna Resort is celebrating its first Christmas as well.

Lastly, Universal Helios Grand Hotel is also fully decorated for its first Christmas celebration.

Expo Eats Kiosk Removed
Last week, the Expo Eats snack stand at Universal Studios Florida, located across from Animal Actors On Location!, was demolished, and construction walls were expanded as work on a new stand is expected.

Imagination Cafe Closed
DreamWorks Imagination Café at Universal Studios Florida recently closed for refurbishment, with no announced reopening date at this time.

New Wicked Features
With Wicked: For Good set to release on November 21, the Wicked experience at Universal Studios Florida was recently updated with props and costumes from the new film.

Additionally, the Universal Cinemark theater is now showcasing promotions for the upcoming Universal Pictures film.

Blondie’s Restaurant Reopens
Blondie’s in Toon Lagoon at Islands of Adventure has reopened after being closed since at least June. The restaurant is back in operation with an updated menu, available on the Universal Orlando website and app.

Ongoing Bridge Refurbishment
The bridge between the Lost Continent and Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure remains under refurbishment. The section that was previously closed has now been completed, while the opposite side is currently behind construction walls for renovation.

On closer inspection, the refurbished section features a smooth finish, eliminating the rivets and wood that were previously there.

For comparison, here’s a look at how the wooden bridge looked before.

Minor Updates in CityWalk
At the entrance of CityWalk, a new billboard displaying the CityWalk logo has been installed to replace a worn-out sign, standing out among the other faded signage on the wall.

Over at the Hard Rock Cafe in CityWalk, the digital billboard is getting replaced.
