Tokyo Disney Resort announced that Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters is slated for replacement. In its place, a new attraction themed around Disney‘s animated feature Wreck-It Ralph will be introduced. The existing ride will cease operations in October 2024 to facilitate this transformation.

The forthcoming ride will transport guests into the video game world of “Sugar Rush,” which is facing a perilous threat from the “Sugar Bug,” a creation of King Candy. Guests will work together with Ralph and Vanelope, embarking on a mission to return the bugs into the original, cute sweets, such as cookies and cakes.
This interactive shooting attraction is projected to open in 2026. Additionally, the adjacent Planet M store will undergo a conversion to become a Wreck-It Ralph-themed store.
