Universal has announced that Evil Dead Burn, the latest installment in the Evil Dead franchise, will be featured as a haunted house at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights events at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.
The haunted houses will transport guests to the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods, where the horror unfolds as they make their way deeper inside. Along the way, guests will encounter ferocious Deadites before ultimately becoming victims of the evil forces.
The haunted houses draw from the long-running Evil Dead franchise, first introduced in 1981, becoming one of horror’s most recognizable properties. At the center of the story is the Book of the Dead, an ancient text capable of unleashing supernatural parasitic demons that possess their victims and transform them into Deadites.
New merchandise inspired by the Evil Dead Burn haunted house is also available. The collection includes a T-shirt, a hat, and an acrylic figure created for the infernal carnival collectible display. These items are already on sale at both parks and will be available for purchase on shopUniversal.com beginning Wednesday, July 22.
This year’s Halloween Horror Nights officially begins at Universal Orlando on August 28 and will take place on select nights through November 1. The event at Universal Studios Hollywood runs on select nights from September 3 through November 1.
