Disney has announced new details about its upcoming nighttime parade, “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.” The new Magic Kingdom parade is set to debut on July 20. “Disney Starlight” marks the first year-round nighttime parade at the park since the Main Street Electrical Parade left in 2016.
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” will showcase both classic and contemporary characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney Pixar films, some of which will appear for the first time in a Disney Live Entertainment nighttime parade. The parade will feature an original theme composed specifically for the parade, though it will include familiar elements.

Disney shared a new look at the parade’s grand finale, which will spotlight Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck, who will lead a procession of Disney moments that include Snow White and Dopey in a sparkling minecar, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider on a boat with a shining lantern, and Aladdin and Jasmine on a magic carpet ride. The concluding segment will feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in new, sparkling attire, reminding guests to believe in the power of wishing upon a star.
Disney also shared a look on social media of how the floats for the parade were brought to life.
In addition to the parade, Disney will offer dedicated merchandise, including a t-shirt, blanket, pin, light-up Mickey Ears, and a light-up bubble wand that will dance along with the parade. There will also be a special popcorn mix available for purchase at the Main Street Confectionery, featuring a combination of Bubble Gum and Blue Raspberry Candy Popcorn, M&M’s Milk Chocolate, mini-marshmallows, and white chocolatey drizzle, launching on the first night of the parade.
Due to the anticipated high demand for the new parade, for a limited time, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom starting July 20 must have a theme park reservation, even if visiting the park after 2 PM. Passholders can still visit EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom after 2 PM without a reservation.
