After nearly two decades without a major update, Disney is preparing to give EPCOT’s iconic Spaceship Earth attraction a new chapter.
The company announced that Spaceship Earth will undergo a reimagining designed to bring the attraction’s story into the internet age and beyond.
While the current version of the attraction focuses on the evolution of human communication, Disney says the updated experience will broaden that theme to human connection.
Disney first revealed plans for an extensive overhaul of Spaceship Earth in 2019, but the project was ultimately put on hold following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additional details about the updated version of Spaceship Earth, including what guests can expect inside the attraction, have not yet been announced.
