Disney has officially announced that the DINOSAUR ride and the entirety of DinoLand U.S.A., including The Dino Institute Shop and Restaurantosaurus, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World will close permanently on February 2, 2026, with February 1, 2026 being the last day of operation.

This announcement comes on the heels of the recent closure of The Boneyard, the play area within DinoLand U.S.A., which had its last day of operation on September 1, 2025.

The decision to close DinoLand U.S.A. is part of a redevelopment plan that will transform the area into a new Tropical Americas land, which is set to open in 2027.
As part of this transition, the DINOSAUR attraction will be reimagined into an Indiana Jones-themed ride. Additionally, the new land will introduce a new Encanto attraction and more.
