A Walt Disney World Cast Member was injured on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, during a performance of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios after a large prop malfunctioned.

During the show, a boulder prop—described by Disney as a 400-pound rubber prop—became dislodged from its track. The Cast Member was injured while stopping the prop before it could roll toward the audience. Disney said the Cast Member received immediate medical attention and is recovering. The company added that its safety team is reviewing the incident.

The boulder appears in a stunt sequence that recreates the opening scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark, where Indiana Jones sets off a trap and narrowly escapes a giant rolling boulder.

In a new update on Wednesday, a Disney spokesperson said that show element will be modified.

“Safety is at the heart of what we do, and that element of the show will be modified as our safety team completes a review of what happened.”

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! is the longest-running attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, having opened on August 25, 1989. The live stunt show follows Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood as they dodge traps, battle villains, leap from tall structures, and make daring escapes, while also giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at how movie stunts are safely created.

UPDATE (December 31, 2025 at 12:54 PM): This article has been updated to include a new statement from a Disney spokesperson indicating that the show will be modified.
