During the summer months, temperatures can reach over 90°F (32°C). July is on average the hottest month of the year. January is typically the coldest month with an average high of about 72°F (22°C). Expect sunny days most of the year with occasional rain. Thunderstorms and hurricanes are likely during the summer and fall seasons.
Central Florida is heavily car dependent; car rentals are recommended depending on where you're staying and which destination(s) you plan to visit. Many hotels in the Orlando area offer complimentary transportation to select destinations, including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. Though less convenient, Lynx bus transportation is available to many attractions throughout Orange and Osceola county.
