Disney has announced new details about the upcoming Muppets roller coaster, set to replace Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. This reimagined ride, titled Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, will introduce a new theme focusing on characters from The Muppets.
The Electric Mayhem
The Electric Mayhem, a rock band featured in the Muppets, will headline their biggest Hollywood concert ever. Animal, Dr. Teeth, and the rest of the group will rock the house down, but there’s an issue: the band is nowhere to be found.
Over at G-Force Records, guests will enjoy a VIP tour of the recording studio, which has recently been taken over by The Muppets. The colorful crew has landed some new digs… with just a little help from Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse.
Muppified Courtyard
At the entrance to the updated attraction, the recognizable guitar landmark will remain but will receive a Muppet-themed makeover. The bottom of the guitar will feature a vibrant and psychedelic design, inspired by a classic Muppet car paint job. Additionally, the piano motif at the base will include a golden key, serving as a reference to a notable band leader.
The Studio
Inside G-Force Records, guests will find themselves in a working recording studio, which just so happens to be where the Electric Mayhem are, cranking out rocking tunes. Accompanied by the audio engineers—who are all penguins—guests will see Scooter persuading the band to wrap up their jam session so they can make it to their concert in time.
Hollywood Road Trip
With the assistance of Muppet Labs and a speedy limousine, guests will embark on a thrilling road trip across Hollywood. The experience will showcase iconic scenery and landmarks, all with a Muppet flair. During the journey, guests will hear the Electric Mayhem performing some of their most notable songs.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will remain available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios until the end of 2025, with the debut of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets scheduled for 2026.
