Universal Orlando will soon remove Universal Express access from one of its most popular attractions.

Universal Orlando confirmed that Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Islands of Adventure will no longer participate in the Universal Express program beginning July 1, 2026.

The roller coaster originally opened in June 2019 without Universal Express access and remained excluded from the program for several years due to consistently high demand. In May 2025, Universal added the attraction to the Universal Express lineup.

In response to a guest inquiry on social media regarding the change, Universal Orlando said:

“We are implementing an operational update to Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Effective July 1, 2026, the attraction will no longer be included in the Universal Express program, allowing us to improve the flow of the experience for all of our Guests.”

Universal Express is a paid add-on that provides guests access to shorter wait times at participating attractions. Guests staying at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Hard Rock Hotel Orlando receive complimentary Universal Express access at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure as part of their stay.

Since Universal Express was added to Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure last year, the ride experienced a spike in wait times for the regular standby queue.

The attraction remains one of the most in-demand rides at Universal Orlando and continues to draw heavy crowds nearly seven years after its debut.
