A dead body was reported Friday night at Disney Springs, the shopping and entertainment complex at Walt Disney World, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded at approximately 9 PM on January 2, 2026. The initial call was classified as a “person down” but was later updated to a “dead person.”
Law enforcement established a perimeter around the Orange Garage to block the area from public view as guests continued to move through other parts of Disney Springs.
In a statement issued Saturday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Media Relations said deputies discovered a deceased man at the Orange Garage.
On January 2, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies responded to the Disney Springs Orange Garage on East Buena Vista Drive and discovered a man who was deceased. This incident is being investigated as a possible suicide. We have no additional information to release and will have no further updates this weekend.
