Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire was announced Thursday for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.
This all-new haunted house follows the story of the latest Ghostbusters film. The Spengler family teams up with the original Ghostbusters, who now operate a top-secret research lab for their ghost-busting enterprise. The plot thickens with the discovery of an ancient relic that unleashes the vengeful spirit of Garraka, who threatens to freeze the entire city—and possibly the world—into a second Ice Age.
As you venture through the haunted house, you’ll explore Ray’s Occult Books shop, the Ghostbusters’ cutting-edge lab and containment facility, and the dank sewers of New York City. Throughout your journey, you’ll face icy and terrifying challenges, encounter iconic ghosts, dodge villainous threats, and fend off a swarm of ghastly creatures intent on turning you into an ice sculpture.
Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights will kick off on Friday, August 30, while Universal Studios Hollywood’s event begins on Thursday, September 5.
