Guests visiting Disney Springs will soon see major changes at the longtime Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop as the store prepares for a renovation project.
The refurbishment will introduce several enhancements, including expanded indoor seating, improvements designed to streamline the checkout process, and additional updates.
During construction, Ghirardelli will not be leaving Disney Springs entirely. Instead, it will continue serving guests from a temporary location in the Town Center area. The interim shop will take over the space most recently occupied by CrazyShake by Black Tap, a pop-up that opened in March 2026 and concluded operations last week. That storefront previously housed Sprinkles.
Exact closure and reopening dates have not yet been announced, but the renovated flagship location is set to reopen in 2027.
“Disney Springs has been a cherished home for Ghirardelli for nearly 30 years, and we are proud of the magical chocolate memories we’ve helped create for guests from around the world,” said Lacey Zane, Vice President of Restaurant & Retail at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. “Our longstanding relationship with Disney is an important part of that story, and this next chapter allows us to thoughtfully evolve the space while honoring its legacy. We look forward to continuing to serve guests at our temporary location in Town Center during this transition and unveiling an updated space in 2027.”
Ghirardelli opened its current Disney Springs location in the Marketplace area in 1996.
